Features
The Dual-Lite T-Bar Series
is an architecturally styled, completely self-contained emergency
lighting unit designed for recessed mounting in suspended grid ceilings.
Unit construction consists of a heavy-gauge sheet metal junction box,
back box and mounting plate, and an injection-molded, thermoplastic lamp
housing/front panel assembly. Unit electronics include fully automatic,
solid-state charger with low voltage battery disconnect circuit, a test
switch and a dual-function pilot light/charge rate indicator.
Installation is facilitated through the use of a top mounted junction
which allows for easy AC, DC-battery and remote fixture connections. The
unit’s maintenance-free battery is securely fastened within the metal
back box and is readily accessible from below by removing the front
cover assembly. Lamp head assemblies are fully directional and easily
adjusted. The T-Bar Series is approved for installation in air handling
plenums.
Specification:
Standard illumination is
provided using 7.2-watt, sealed beam type lamps especially designed for
emergency lighting. The usual design objective in emergency lighting is
to provide a level of illumination sufficient to allow people to leave a
building in the event of a power failure. For lamp photometrics, see

Application/Installation:
Ideal for commercial and
institutional environments where easy ceiling-recessed installation and
minimal maintenance is desired. Architecturally pleasing design in white
finish complements any decor.
The T-Bar Series is designed for recessed mounting in suspended grid
ceilings, including air handling plenums. The mounting plate dimensions
allow placement of the unit between the suspended ceiling’s grid support
structure. The unit must be fastened to the building’s structure in
accordance with local codes; holes in the mounting plate facilitate this
requirement. Ceiling tile may require trimming for finished
installation. A top mounted junction box with standard knockout pattern
allows AC, DC-battery and remote fixture connections to be made from the
top of the unit. Unit is shipped with battery leads disconnected.
Lamphead/electronics assembly attaches to mounting plate by means of
four screws.
