Specification:
LAMPAK Series emergency power packs are capable of illuminating most 20W through 215W (2’ - 8’) fluorescent lamps, including U shaped, HO, VHO, circline, energy-saving and rapid-start long compact fluorescents as outlined below. Lumen output may vary depending on lamp construction and age.

UFO-3A:
Illuminates one 20W through 40W - T8, T10 or T12 diameter fluorescent lamp for 90 minutes. Initial emergency lighting output is 350-450 lumens.

UFO-4:
Illuminates one 20W through 40W - T8, T10 or T12 diameter fluorescent lamp for 90 minutes. Initial emergency lighting output is 500-600 lumens. Lumen output is less with 4-pin long compact fluorescent lamps.

UFO-5:
Illuminates one 20W through 215W - T8, T10 or T12 diameter fluorescent lamp for 90 minutes [20W through 40W, (2’ - 4’), T12 diameter lamps for 120 minutes]. Initial emergency lighting output is 600-700 lumens. Lumen output is less with 4-pin long compact fluorescent lamps.

UFO-5A:
Illuminates two 20W through 40W (2’-8’) T8, T10 or T12 diameter fluorescent lamps, or one 20W through 215W (2’-8’) tubular lamp or 4-pin compact fluorescent lamp at reduced illumination in emergency mode for a minimum of 90 minutes. Initial emergency lightning output is 600-700 lumens. With two lamp output, light output is evenly divided between the two lamps. Lumen output will be less with one lamp operation or with compact fluorescent lamps.

UFO-6:
Illuminates one 20W through 215W fluorescent lamp or two 20W through 40W (2’ - 4’) T8, T10 or T12 diameter lamps for 90 minutes. Initial emergency lighting output is 1100 - 1400 lumens. Initial light output for long compact fluorescent lamps is 700 - 1000 lumens. Lumen output is less with 4-pin long compact fluorescent lamps.

For questions regarding specific lamp compatibility, contact factory.

Application/Installation:
For use in new or retrofit applications where an easily installed, economical means of providing emergency power to fluorescent fixtures is required.

LAMPAK Series emergency power packs offer great versatility in mounting methods. The unit may be mounted externally on the fixture housing or internally within the unit ballast chamber. LAMPAK emergency power packs do not affect normal fixture operation and may be used with either switched or unswitched fixtures. An extension tube for the charger indicator light is provided for use with lensed fixtures. The extension tube allows the charger indicator light to be located in close proximity to the fixture lens for confirming charger operation without having to open the fixture. Installation is not recommended in fixtures where the ambient LAMPAK unit temperature may fall below 0° Celsius for extended periods. LAMPAK Series emergency power packs are also not suitable for installation in heated air outlet fixtures and wet or hazardous location fixtures. LAMPAK models are compatible with standard, energy-saving, dimming and electronic AC ballasts.
