Features
The HLXA hazardous location emergency lighting series is designed to provide safe operation in the presence of volatile gases, vapors or dusts. The outlet box and tank are cast from high-strength, copper-free aluminum, with corrosion-resistant stainless steel exterior hardware. A gray, electrodeposition-applied epoxy-clad finish, provides uniform coverage and maximum corrosion-resistance. A one-piece silicone gasket provides superior sealing. Stainless steel battery vent provided.

Specification:
Standard illumination is provided by two, 13-watt, quad type fluorescent lamps. A heat-resistant, prismatic glass globe provides superior optics. Units are supplied standard with high-strength, copper-free aluminum globe guards. The usual design objective in emergency lighting is to provide a level of illumination sufficient to allow people to leave a building in the event of a power failure or other emergency condition.

Application/Installation:
For use in hazardous locations or adverse environment areas requiring a self-contained emergency lighting unit designed for safe operation in the presence of volatile gases, vapors or dust.

Designed for easy installation. Models with mounting adapters are available for wall, pendant or ceiling installation. The outlet box on units intended for pendant or ceiling mounting is provided with 3 /4" (optional 1") NPT threaded hub ports (plugged) for connection of the lighting branch circuit conduit. Units intended for wall mounting are supplied with an integral outlet box/mounting fixture that provides the branch circuit connection point. On all units, a unique hinge and latch arrangement allows separation of the outlet box and tank, providing simplified servicing and component support.
