12ED SERIES
High-capacity 12-volt emergency lighting power units.

Agency Approvals:
UL listed, standard 924 (Emergency Lighting)
Features
The Dual-Lite ED Series 12-volt emergency power units are designed for applications where total loads and wiring distances are too great for a 6-volt unit. Cabinet construction is NEMA 1, heavy-duty steel with traditional dark brown enamel finish. Optional black or walnut-grain vinyl finishes are available. Each unit includes an SCR solid-state charger, an automatic transfer circuit, a low-voltage disconnect circuit, a charge rate indicator and a test switch. A full line of both functional and architecturally designed heads, fixtures and exit signs is available. Three knockouts are provided for mounting lighting heads directly on the cabinet. See Product Selector chart for details.

Specification:
Unit is supplied standard without lighting heads. Knockouts are provided for mounting up to three heads on unit. The usual design objective in emergency lighting is to provide level of illumination sufficient to allow people to leave building in the event of a power failure. For lamp photometrics, see Data Sheet 60-1600.

Application/Installation:
For use in industrial, commercial and institutional systems requiring long wiring distances.

The unit may be mounted directly to the wall by means of two keyhole slots. A mounting bracket or a shelf in beige finish are available options. Knockouts are provided for 1 /2" or 3 /4" conduit connections. Piano-hinged top is incorporated for battery maintenance. Connections for remote fixture wiring are fused. A strain relief knockout is also provided for standard three-conductor cord.
