System Operation

1

An input high isolation ferroresonant transformer provides power to a solid state, two step tapper/charger which in turn creates a regulated DC supply to charge the battery.

2

A sealed maintenance free battery is provided to maintain power to the inverter. The battery is fitted with a suitably rated fuse to provide overload and short circuit protection.

3

A ferroresonant transistorized static inverter transforms the battery energy into regulated sine wave AC voltage to supply the critical load

4

An electro/mechanical transfer switch connects the load to either the utility during normal operation or the inverter during emergency operation.

High Efficiency
Interruptable Power Supply

This Interruptible Power System offers high efficiency at an economical price. The inverter utilizes internal transistor redundancy which will allow up to 20% of the power switching resistors to fail and still provide full load power. The result is a reliability record envied in the industry. The system is floor and/or wall mounted, convection cooled, and comes equipped with front opening, key-locked doors. Internal components are protected by heavy gauge sheet metal enclosures, with air louvers and knockouts for interwiring with BX, Romex, or Conduit. 1-1/2 hour run time is standard.
