Function / Use

When normal AC power fails, the DCS emergency power system supplies a low DC voltage (12 to 120VDC) at a high capacity (500 to 10,000 Watts) to the critical load. Uses include emergency lighting, fire alarms, burglar alarms, clutch releases, and fire doors. The standard run time is 90 minutes for emergency lighting, but both longer and shorter run times are available for special requirements. The DCS central system eliminates the need for individual emergency lighting power packs by providing a single high capacity unit in one location.

These systems are ideal for operating remote incandescent lighting heads, exit signs, or quartz halogen lamps mounted within H.I.D. fixtures. They can also be used to power high efficiency DC inverter ballasts that are remotely mounted within fluorescent fixtures.
