SENS 63 Series Battery Power System (BPS) is the ideal DC battery backup source for microwave repeaters, small cell sites, RTU and SCADA. The weatherproof housing means the 63 BPS can be installed in nearly any outdoor location.
Nonstop DC power
The 63 BPS is a factory-packaged DC power system that supplies nonstop
DC power to keep equipment running despite commercial power failure. The 63
BPS includes filtered rectifier/charger, alarm system, battery and
load-control equipment.
Weatherproof housing
The weatherproof housing eliminates the need for an equipment shelter, thus
saving costs and space. High-gloss white enamel reflects heat and minimizes dirt
build up.
Small size
Rectifier/charger and battery are housed in the same compact, all-welded
aluminum cabinet. The small cabinet is easily mounted on walls, equipment towers
or antenna poles.
Single system responsibility
All system elements are packaged inside the 63 BPS cabinet.
Temperature compensated, precision rectifiers/chargers
Rectifiers/chargers are precision voltage regulated and temperature compensated.
Temperature compensation extends battery life, eliminates over- and
undercharging and reduces the risk of battery thermal runaway.
115/230 VAC, 50/60 Hz input
SENS 63 BPS is designed for service nearly anywhere in the world.
Standard units operate on either 50 or 60 Hz; input voltage is field-selectable
for 115 or 230 volts.
Automatic protection systems
The thermostatically controlled, ball-bearing cooling fan operates above 40 C
only. This prolongs fan life and reduces dust ingress into the system. Washable
dust filters further reduce the level of dust ingress. An optional
thermostatically controlled battery heater is available for systems operating in
cold climates. The complete alarm system includes Form C contacts that provide
remote indication of system status.
